Great patriotic LED candles, with a somewhat realistic flame design and actual wax outside.

The Flameless LED Stars & Stripes Patriotic Pillar Candles by Luminara, is a great spin on the LED candle that makes it one of the best on the market, providing a great atmosphere with some patriotic flare. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying.

I. Quality – It’s a very nice quality set of candles that look and acts like a high quality version of the LED candle. I’d put it in the upper tier on the quality scale for LED candles and guess it should hold up well and function for a good amount of time. However, considering all that’s going on when you switch it on and off, I wouldn’t be too surprised if something stops working.

II. Performance – They are neat candles to operate and watch in action. From the flickering movement to the patriotic design, it’s fun to watch and enjoy. The candles themselves look pretty real in low light or from a distance. But, the flame is still a long way from looking real to me. It’s still enjoyable and probable one of the best ones on the market, but I guess my expectations were too high. Watch my included video and decide for yourself.

Overall, if you like LED candles and would like a patriotic flare, you should love these. It’s a great innovation and next step in the evolution of the LED candle, as it gets closer to fooling us all, that it might be a real candle. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it.
